There is no doubt that creating the best educational plan for your child is critical and requires decisions which will last a lifetime. The expertise, insight and guidance of a professional advocate is instrumental to getting the job done right whether through an IEP or a 504 Plan. By taking a dynamic approach to intervention, we strive to foster a partnership type of relationship… based upon our years of experience as an Advocate, Consultant, Principal, Teacher, Coordinator, and Parent.

Most notably, our work has been a nexus between home and school in these critical times. The measure of our success is guided by mutual understanding, collaboration and strength-based interventions. Our Senior Advocate, Tiffany Herron-Lumpkin is a highly experienced special education advocate, with over 19 years of experience. Recognized as one of the leading advocacy experts, her expertise is based upon complex cases work including: Autism, ADHD/ADD, Behavior Intervention, Specific Learning Disabilities and Gifted Education. Our mission is to continue to strive to be one of the most insightful education consultants working today… determined to fight the needs of your child.

We have worked tirelessly and have successfully secured services and programs for children with learning, emotional and behavioral disabilities, in Northern and Central California. Our goal is to also work with families and School Districts to amicably resolve cases without the need for litigation. However, when litigation is necessary, we will independently seek, refer and contract a suitable Attorney, litigate vigorously on your behalf.

In some cases, a hands-on consultant and behind the scenes Advocate who provides education consulting throughout the school year could be the place to start. We offer services such as Attending IEP Meetings, consulting with and assisting parents in the preparation of designing programs, impartial reviews of assessments and drafting of other IEP related documents.

The right to a Free Appropriate Public Education (FAPE) in a Least Restrictive Enviroment (LRE) belongs to all students and there are laws governing those rights. The Individual with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), No Child Left Behind, American with Disabilities Act, Section 504 are some of the laws which govern education. Knowing what your rights are under these laws and how to execute them can help you and your student receive the accommodations to enhance the education received.

We coach and train parents of students with disabilities how to navigate
and fully utilize special education services, so their child can have complete access to the same education that children without disabilities receive to help create opportunities for success. We partner with parents whose children need special education services to develop strategies that will continue throughout their child’s education until completion.

The laws regarding special education at both the State and
Federal levelscan be confusing and difficult to navigate.
As an advocate, we strive to stay current on new legislation
regarding children’s educational rights so that they may continue
to receive the services they deserve. We facilitate an environment
to help those in need by sharing information to help your child.
